Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired a public outreach camp at the village Patara of Sunderbani block and reviewed the progress of development works there.

It is pertinent to mention here that Village Patrara is being developed under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna with the implementation of several Central sponsored schemes. 

At the outset, the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal gave a brief about the physical and financial achievements in respect of the SAGY village Patrara. He reiterated that the District Administration is committed to developing Patrara village as per norms of the SAGY village.

Later, on the instructions of the MP, various departments shared the physical and financial achievements of their respective departments in the particular village.

On the complaint of the Public about the irregular water supply, the SE Jal Shakti Department said that a water supply scheme under the Jal Jeevan Mission has been approved at an estimated cost of 6.30 crores. He further informed that the work on the said project would start soon.

While speaking the MP said that the goal of SAGY is to develop three Adarsh Grams or model villages complete with state of art facilities. The SAGY scheme encourages MPs to identify and develop one village hence, the village Patrara was selected for the year 2017-18. The Hon'ble MP also said that for SAGY separate funding is not provided so the public and Departments have to work in tandem to develop this village.

The Hon'ble MP urged the Panchayats and the public to work with vigour along with much efficiency and underlined that SAGY aims to holistically develop patrara and for the same collective responsibility is needed.

 The Hon'ble MP also informed that he will be visiting the village frequently in the coming future and facilitating the growth of the village.

For better coordination and implementation of the SAGY, the Hon'ble MP asked the DDC Rajouri to appoint a nodal officer.

The Hon'ble MP asked the concerned officers to work collectively to ensure effective implementation of Central Schemes and generate massive awareness among the people so that they can avail themselves benefits of the same.  

He asked the officers of different departments to organise special camps and sensitize the farmers and other unemployed youth about the schemes so that Patrara village can be developed at 'Atam Nirbar Village'.

The Hon'ble MP also desired for solar street lights for patrara and asked the DDC to submit a proposal in the matter.

The Public also demanded for the ICT lab Government High School Patrara, the Hon'ble MP directed the DDC to provide the required infrastructure for the establishment of the same.

The Hon'ble MP also inspected the stalls, interacted with officers and also held a plantation in the premises of the High School Patrara.

Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma also started a nationwide program Sansad Khel Sapardha and started a Kabaddi match at village patrata between the team of village devak and village Patra. On the occasion Member of Parliament said that it is very important to make our youth physically fit and sports and Team Spirit will make our youth to work on on the national integrity. He said that true sportsmanship will make a youth to be very conscious about their moralistic career and build up the nation strong.
